Personal Profile
For the past 35 years I have worked and lived in Rotorua. During this time I have watched this city and its people expand and change. I am one of these people.
My work history includes:-
• Qualified Bricklayer - which has given me a lifelong interest in buildings and architecture
• Worked and managed our successful Rotorua based family business ‘Bonza Pies' which I found both exciting and challenging.
• Up until recently worked as an Owner Operator of a tour coach for Reesby Coach Lines. Operating the coach and meeting people from all around the world was a wonderful experience and some of those people have become lifelong friends to both myself and my family. Dealing with these people from all different walks of life and backgrounds has given me a great depth of insight into the importance of providing top quality service in a friendly and professional manner.
As much as I enjoyed the Tour Coach Industry, spending 75% of my time away from my family was starting to get to both my family and myself. I felt the need to look for a new challenge that could merge my talents, skills and knowledge into a profession that I'd enjoy and also excel in.
I am very excited to become a member of the sales team at McDowell Real Estate Ltd, the Professionals which has been part of the Rotorua community since 1911.
My family consists of myself, my wife Maggie, three children – James, Louise & Dean and our fourth ‘big kid' Oli – an energetic German shorthaired pointer!
My wife and I enjoy walking and mountain biking in and around the many Rotorua forests, we have been lucky enough to travel extensively throughout the world with South Africa (and its many wildlife parks) being one of our favourite places to visit.
I believe my role as a Real Estate Agent is to listen to you, the customer, find out what you want - whether it be to purchase your first home, your next home, or an investment and help guide you through the marketing process to ensure your requirements are met and the best decisions are made.
